Last September 17, 2015, I went to Minalungao National Park in General Tinio, Nueva Ecija. I came all the way from Malolos, Bulacan. I rode a jeepney going to Plaridel crossing. The fair was P15 from my place going to Plaridel crossing. I dropped myself at Chowking crossing. I’ve crossed the road to ride a bus on the other side.

So, I jumped on board in a Baliwag Transit Bus. The fare was P88 going to Gapan, Nueva Ecija. The travel time is approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours from Plaridel going to Walter Mart, Nueva Ecija.

How Far and How Much Does It Cost to Get There?

You need to get yourself at Walter Mart Nueva Ecija. I negotiated with a tricycle driver in that area. He mentioned P600 back and forth and we can stay there until afternoon. I agreed with the offer even if its a bit pricey. The driver mentioned that his price is way cheaper than others. Well, I think the price is right when I saw how far it is on the map. I compared it to my previous travel experience distance from Biak na Bato National Park. You need to have at least P1,000 to get yourself there.

By the way, when I visited Minalungao National Park, there is no entrance fee. It may not be a peak season for the reason being.

We’ve been through rocky road and slopes. It was worth it when I arrived there. It was a paradise. I am so happy to see that kind of nature’s beauty. Awesome!!!!

Here’s a picture of the paradise I’m talking about.

Parking Lot

The color of the Penaranda river is bluish green. There are lots of people swimming there too. Lots of tricycles, cars, vans and some private vehicles are parked in the area of Minalungao.

There are two kids who toured me in the area of Minalungao Nueva Ecija. These kids play as tour guides in this area. That’s their way of living. They said, it is up to me how much I’ll pay them. Penaranda River

There are floating cottages in the area. If you want to experience it, you need to rent it out for P250 per unit. The shape of river side is amazing. I appreciate how nature is working to create an awesome masterpiece like Minalungao National Park. The kids said that there are some fish there like tilapia and they also told that there are some turtles there. I also tried to swim there and cross the river. It was a challenge for me. And yes, I am able to cross the river for the first time!

If you want to experience an extreme activity like cliff diving, you can climb in a piece of stone like the ones on the picture below and jump!

There is also a cave in the place. We went there and took some photos. We are allowed to enter the cave but we don’t have flash lights to use. We just decided to visit the lower depth part of the river. Here’s a photo of the cave.

My Overall Review

It was an awesome place to visit. Although, there are some vandalisms in the caves. It is still worth a visit. The river is clean and clear. It is just a best place to bring your kids and your family. By the way, this places featured in Jessica Soho television show. I hope you enjoyed my little travel documentary guide at Minalungao National Park. You can use these information as a guide for your next travel plan. I’ll repeat. This place is definitely worth a visit. If you’ve been here, share your experiences in the comments below.

Have a peaceful travel folks!
